Residential
Recent residential work
Homes, estates, mature trees, planting, patios, pools, walkways, driveways and entrances across Greater Houston. Each one designed around the property rather than from a fixture package.
What you are looking at
Photographs, not renders
Every image on this page is a finished Houston Lightscapes system, photographed on the property after dark. Nothing here is a render, a stock photo or a demonstration rig.
What the photographs cannot show is the part that matters most: the same house on the same evening before the design existed. That is what the before-and-after page is for.
How to read them
The same techniques, different properties
Across these projects the same handful of techniques keeps reappearing, applied to whatever the property actually offers:
- Uplighting on elevations, columns, stone and mature trees
- Moonlighting from high in a canopy onto a lawn, walk or patio
- Grazing across brick and stone so the texture reads
- Pathway and drive lighting that marks a route without lining it
- Layers front to back, so the eye travels past the patio into the garden
- Areas left deliberately dark, because contrast is what creates depth
Which technique goes where is the design. The fixture count follows from that, not the other way round.

Your property, after dark
Every project on this page started with a walk of the site and a conversation about what the owner wanted to see at night.
