Two oaks framing the front door

A pair of mature oaks either side of the walk, uplit into the canopy, with the entry and the brickwork behind them lit to a lower level.

What the photograph shows

Trees either side of a walk do the job a row of path lights is usually asked to do, and do it better: the route is obvious because the frame around it is lit.

The path itself then needs very little — enough to read the surface and the step, nothing more.

  • Canopy uplighting from both sides of the walk
  • Trunk and branch structure revealed
  • Entry lit as the destination
  • Brickwork grazed at a low level

Your property, after dark

Every project here started the same way: a walk of the site and a conversation about what the owner wanted to see at night.
