Which is why West U work is mostly about shielding, beam control and output: enough light to show the architecture and the trees, aimed so the spill stops at the property line.

Lighting the house without overlighting it
On a smaller lot, output that would look modest on an estate becomes glare. We drop levels, tighten beams, favour more small sources over fewer bright ones, and check every position from the pavement and from the neighbours' side — not just from the front door.
