Christmas lighting, and a system that can do every other holiday

Houston Lightscapes installs Christmas lighting for homes and businesses across Greater Houston, and permanent color-changing systems that change for Halloween, the Fourth of July, game days and ordinary evenings.

Where it starts

The building you already have

We start with the property, not with a box of lights: the front of the home or business, the entrances, the trees, the planting, and the areas guests or customers actually use after dark.

That decides where lighting belongs and how the display reads from two distances — from the street, where most people see it, and up close, where the people arriving do.

Tell us what you want lit, when you want to use it and the look you have in mind. We review the property and come back with a plan that fits it.

Seasonal

Christmas light installation

Warm and simple, or colorful and loud — we talk that through before anything gets planned. Most homes come down to a welcoming front entry and light in the trees and planting; most businesses to the entrance and whatever part of the property is actually visible.

What the display can be depends on the building, the places a fixture can safely be mounted, and how people approach it. We go through those with you so the scope is clear before the crew arrives.

Christmas lighting is a seasonal service — installed, used for the season, taken down. If you would rather own something that stays up, say so at the consultation and we will price both.

Color-changing lighting for holidays and events

We also install permanent color-changing systems, including Haven Lighting. One installation covers Christmas, Halloween, the Fourth of July, game days and parties — and a setting for ordinary evenings when there is nothing to celebrate.

It is planned as outdoor lighting first. The fixtures have to suit the architecture and the planting, and the property has to look right on the three hundred nights a year that are not a holiday. Colour is the exception, not the design.

Not the same thing

Two services, and they do different jobs

Seasonal Christmas lighting is planned around one display: installed for the season, sized to the occasion, removed afterwards.

A permanent colour-changing system is everyday outdoor lighting that can change its look. It costs more up front, it is there in July, and it does not produce the same picture a wrapped roofline does.

Plenty of properties end up with both. If you have a specific display in mind, describe it and we will say which option — or which combination — actually produces it.

Homes

Ready for the people coming over

Front of the house, the entry, nearby trees, planting, pathways, and whatever outdoor space guests will stand in. We focus on the areas that matter to you and account for the angles the property is seen from.

  • An understated display that suits the architecture
  • Bold color for one particular holiday
  • Something that serves several occasions through the year
  • A display that works with the landscape lighting already installed

If you already have a system, the everyday lighting still has to do its job while the display is running — the entry and the walking routes cannot go dark because it is December.

Business

Commercial holiday lighting

Building, signage, entrance, planting and visitor areas get reviewed before anything is recommended. A restaurant, office or retail property needs a welcoming seasonal look without losing the useful light around its doors and walkways.

If the display should change for promotions or events through the year, ask about a permanent color-changing system. We go through the areas to be lit, how it is controlled, and what it looks like on an ordinary business night.

What we go through on the property

You do not need a finished design before you call. Ideas, photographs you like and a date are enough to start.

  • Seasonal Christmas lights, a permanent color-changing system, or both
  • The areas of the home or business you want to highlight
  • Style, color and how bright the display should be
  • Existing lighting that has to keep working underneath it
  • How guests or customers arrive and move around after dark
  • The proposed scope, the price and what dates are still open

The property sets the final plan. A wide front lawn, mature trees, a long drive or several entrances all change how much lighting is involved and where it goes.

How it runs

Review, plan, install, check

1 · Review the property and the goals

What you are celebrating and what the display has to achieve. We walk the property, pick out the areas worth lighting and look at how new work fits anything already installed.

2 · Build the plan

A design for this property and this type of lighting: which areas are included, how the lights will be used and what installation involves. You review it and ask for changes before approving.

3 · Install

The approved lighting goes in with care for the building, the landscape and the planting.

4 · Check it after dark

For permanent systems we come back at night and adjust placement and levels. If you chose colour-changing, we show you how to drive the controls for the occasions you had in mind.

Why us

A holiday project is still a lighting project

Outdoor lighting is the only thing this company does, and it has done it for more than thirty years across Greater Houston — design, installation and service, residential and commercial. So a holiday display gets looked at as part of how the property reads at night, not as a separate job with its own rules.

We do not start from the same display for every building. We ask how you want the property to look and which areas you actually use, then plan the light around the architecture and the planting.

FAQ

Holiday lighting questions

Do you install Christmas lights?

Yes, for homes and businesses across Greater Houston. We review the property and the display you have in mind before recommending a scope of work.

Can I use the lights for holidays other than Christmas?

With a permanent color-changing system, yes — Halloween, the Fourth of July, game days, parties, and a neutral setting for everything in between.

Are seasonal Christmas lights and a colour-changing system the same service?

No. Seasonal lighting is planned around one display and comes down afterwards. A color-changing system is permanent everyday outdoor lighting that can change its look. We price both at the consultation.

Can you work with the lighting I already have?

Yes. Tell us which areas have to stay lit for everyday use — entries, steps, walking routes — and we plan the display around them.

Do you do holiday lighting for businesses?

Yes. We look at the building, the signage, the entrance, the planting and the visitor areas before making a recommendation. Commercial Outdoor Lighting

How much does holiday lighting cost?

It depends on the property, the areas you want lit and which of the two services you choose. We explain the scope and the price after walking the site.

When should I book Christmas lighting?

As soon as you have a target date or even a rough idea. That leaves time to review the property, plan the lighting and find an installation slot before the season fills up.

Do you take the seasonal lighting down?

Yes — seasonal work is installed, used for the season and removed. Timing is agreed with the rest of the scope.
