The consultation is a walk of the site with the person who will design the lighting — not a sales call with a fixture catalogue.
We look at the architecture, the trees, the planting, the outdoor spaces and the angles the property is seen from, and we ask what you want from it after dark. If there is already a system, we look at what is there and what state it is in.
You get an honest answer about what the property can do, what it would involve and whether we are the right company for it.

If you have photos of the property, they help — especially of anything that already exists. If you have none of this worked out yet, that is also fine; most people do not.
What you do not need
No terminology, no plan, no fixture list
You do not need to know what a beam spread is, how many fixtures a facade takes, or whether a tree wants uplighting or moonlighting. Those are our decisions and they come after the walk, not before it.
What we need from you is the part only you know: how you use the property, what you like about it, and what bothers you when you pull into the drive at night.

What happens next
We design the lighting around the property and walk you through what is being lit and how, before anything is ordered. Nothing gets installed on the strength of a conversation alone.
Most residential installations take a day or two once they start, and we come back after dark to review the finished lighting and adjust it.
